In small contemp., sculpted, gilt frames.
Two highly refined portrait miniatures representing Holy Roman Emperors Charles VI (1685-1740), and Francis I (1708-1765), respectively father and husband to Maria Theresa (1717-1780). The sitters are identified on an old inscription on the verso of the frame.
