Drawing, brown and white wash, touches of pink and yellow, 19 x 28,5 cm, wove paper, signed in pencil at lower left corner (tiny spots at upper center).

C. R. Stanley (1795–1868) was a landscape and topographical painter working in oil and watercolour. Paintings by Stanley are held by the Victoria and Albert Museum and the National Gallery, Dublin. He died at 27, leaving behind a small but very qualitative body of work.
