Second edition (1st: 1691-1689) of this work by the Jesuit historian Crasset (1618-1692), augmented and reworked version of the "Histoire ecclésiastique des isles et royaumes du Japon" by Solier. Illustrated with 8 copper-engr. plates (one fold.) depicting costumes, a view of the imperial palace and Christian martyrs; one woodcut in-text fig. a Japan cross.
