Contemp. blind-stamped calf over wood monastic binding, bevelled edges, covers with lozenge-shaped blind-ruled frames and rows of circular flower stamps, spine with 4 raised bands, metal catches, bottom edge titled (heavily rubbed, leather of spine and lower cover partly gone, corners def., clasps gone). Inside a fine copy.

Vol. 5, complete in itself, with the commentary on the Gospels, of the six-volume Bible commentary by Nicolaus de Lyra. Rubricated in red and blue. A number of large initials in red and blue with penwork at the beginning of larger text parts. Traces of original ms. endpapers still visible on inside of covers (endpapers gone).
