First edition of this Dutch chronicle by the historian and genealogist W. van Gouthoeven (1577-1623). Ill. with 36 woodcut portraits in-text showing the Counts of Holland and a woodcut map of the Siege of Ostend in part 2. Title in red, within nice elaborate architectural woodcut border showing the Counts of Holland with coats of arms, and Leo Belgicus in a Garden of Holland. Title of part 2 with woodcut vign. Text in 2 col., in Gothic. This "Chronijcke" is based on, and partly edits the "Divisiekroniek" by Aurelius (1517).

Prov. "Appartient au Major Baron van Reynegom 1771 [...] quoique cette cronique est des plus rare et cite par tous les auteurs, ne peut jamais sortir de la famille la servant des preuves", i.e. Jean van Reynegom (1719-1788), major of the city of Brussels. His father, Simon (1676-1737), received the title of Baron by Philip V of Spain, after a military career in his service. In 1732, he was named bailiff of Brussels.
