The rare original account of the execution of two Augustinian monks, Hendrik Vos and Jan van Es(sch)en, in Brussels in 1523. They were the very first Protestant martyrs. The story of their fate, written in the form of a letter, is esp. interesting as it contains a detailed list of their beliefs stated in their defense during the trial.
