This ed. contains the editio princeps of "Conflictus Thaliae et Barbariei" in Latin text and Dutch translation, and the only complete early Dutch translation from the Latin and second edition of Erasmus' "Colloquies" made by the scholar Pieter Rabus (1660-1702). A few subjects: "goudzoekerij", "herbergen", "spokerij", "viseten", "gierige rijkdom", "onglijk huwelijk", etc. Engr. front. by J. Mulder. Mark on title.
