Oil on oak panel, each 20 x 15 cm, unsigned, titled at upper left "S. Simeon" and "S. Thadeus" (flaking at right edge of Simon).

Each in gilt orn. sculpted frames.

2 very nice small panels with the apostles Simon and Jude Thadeus. Both saints were celebrated on the 28th of October, and they probably formed a pair rather than being part of a larger series of Christ and the Apostles. Most likely Antwerp school. They are both based on the panels by Van Dyck, now in the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna and the J. Paul Getty Museum.
