Sm. 4to: [8 incl. engr. title]-208-[4] pp. (some foxing, occ. sm. stains, ms. marginalia cropped due to trimming, occ. corrections of text).

Contemp. marbled calf, gilt orn. spine with raised bands, red edges (front joint partly split, some sm. traces of use).

First edition of the work on wars in Flanders from 1559 until 1609, written by the Spanish-Italian officer from Naples Lanario (1588-ca. 1624). He was Cavalry Captain in the army of the Spanish Low Countries and Governor of Lecce and of Basilicata. Illustrated with an engr. title.
