Latin manuscript on paper, c. 27,5 x 20,5 cm : [131] ff. (2 ff. replaced by later manuscript copies; a few sm. additions pasted on), black ink, rubricated throughout, musical notation on 4 staves (some minor traces of use, single wormhole in blank fore-edge margin of last quires, minor worming in blank inner margin of a few quires not touching text).

Cont. blind-stamped calf over wood (rubbed, spine dam., front joint split), edges bevelled inside, spine on 4 raised bands, metal catches (clasps gone). Interesting liturgical ms. in good condition.

Liturgical music for use in a female convent of the Southern Netherlands: “Bidt om godts wil voor | suster mariae bellens | 1636.” (f. [128]v); 18th-c. Dutch manuscript note at bottom of f. [106]v. Decoration: initials in red or red and blue; a number of calligraphic initials in a grotesque (archaic?) style.
