5 drawings, pencil, 38 x 26,5 cm (largest), 21 x 11,3 cm (smallest), laid paper with watermark (Strasbourg fleur-de-lis), unsigned (some minor creases near edges).
Designs for Beaux-Arts ornamental and sculptural designs for stucco, depicting putti, garlands, cartouches, atlants, etc. Ignaz Taschner (1871-1913) was a German sculptor and medalist; he worked at many sculptures of public parks and aristocratic villas in Berlin and Dachau. In 1904 Taschner went to Berlin and worked for the famous architect Alfred Messel and especially for Ludwig Hoffmann, for whom he produced many architectural sculptures.
