First edition of this treatise of geometry by the prolific draughtsman and engraver Leclerc (Metz 1637-1714 Paris). Abundantly illustrated with fine explanatory engravings by the artist delicately inserted into landscapes (plate p. 91 overglued with another engraving). The text, dealing with geometrical theory and practice, is embellished with headpieces and culs-de-lampes.
