One of the few copies entirely printed in red (apart from for the printed index at the end). Engravings by the Dutch artist Jan Goeree (1670-1731) for the Dutch translation/adaptation (1712) of "Médailles sur les principaux evenements du règne de Louis le Grand" (Paris 1702, cf. infra), consisting of 3 full-page pl. (incl. front. and portrait) and 291 full-page pl. of medals (numb. 1-286, plus 7 bis (29, 41, 55, 87, 131, 185, 235) and a tailpiece; pl. numb. 83 & 84 missing).
