Drawing, charcoal, black, red and white chalk, 62 x 77 cm, vellum paper, unsigned (several tears in the edges, lower right corner heavily damaged, some old creases).
Large religious drawing attributed on verso to the Belgian painter Joseph van Severdonck (1819-1905). Severdonck specialised in historical and genre paintings, and studied under Wappers. With a figure study of a reclining male nude.
