Rare re-issue of the 1558 Gryphius ed. of a treatise on criminal law by Mantova Benavides (1489-1582), professor of law at the University of Padua. It deals with capital crimes, fraud, perjury, as well as with adultery, incest, and rape. Woodcut mark on title, and Gryphius mark at the end. Ref.
