Description du lot
Diameter: 18 cm with brass polar calottes and 12 chromolithographed gores (sl. rubbed but with nice patina).
Mounted with a brass meridian ring and a paper horizon ring on a wooden tripod with compas, total height: 33 cm, width: 28 cm (sm. lacks of paper on horizon ring).
Dutch terrestrial globe, a so-called Columbus-globe from the Berlin company Columbus. Its mission statement "A Columbus globe for every home" led to the company exporting worldwide within a few years after its founding in 1909. Columbus globes were produced in 24 different languages, hence this nice Dutch copy.
