Late 18th-c. half calf, flat spine, covers with marbled paper (some tr. of use).

2nd edition of the French translation by François Flory and published one year after the original Italian edition. All woodcuts are present and come from the original Italian edition. The portrait of Philip II, the copper engraving of the Netherlands (n. 1) and of the Antwerp city hall (n. 7) are missing, but it is uncertain if this last one was part of the edition at all. Also missing are some text leaves of the index.
