Contains "books by Ernst and books he illustrated; periodicals with contributions by him [...] books inscribed to him by his friends and books by authors he liked, from Rimbaud and Villiers to E.M. Cioran [...]" (introd. by V. Giroud). Ill. with 9 b/w photographic plates.
This copy bound by he Frenchman Georges Leroux (1922-1999), one of Ernst's favourite binders: almost half the bookbindings listed in this catalogue bear his signature.
