Aurel Naray (1883-1948) was a self-taught Hungarian painter who can be considered one of the most important and original artists in his country during the 1920 and 1930s. His works were part of numerous exhibitions in Romania, Venice, Philadelphia and the Netherlands. Although his paintings and drawings contain elements of Jugendstil, Symbolism and Pre-Raphaelites, they speak with a very individual style that can only described as "Naray".
