First edition of this work on lithotomy by the French surgeon Le Cat (1700-1768). Ill. with an engr. title vign. and 7 engr. fold. pl. showing surgical instruments. He compares the method of using a lateral perineal incision to enter the bladder with other types of perineal incisions which often resulted in destruction of important anatomical structures.
