Contemp. calf (rubbed, corners bumped, some tears), richly gilt spine with 7 raised bands (sl. rubbed, joints rubbed or starting to split, sm. def. at head & tail), red leather title label. Good copy.

New, beautifully ill. edition of this trsl. by P. Du Ryer (1st 1660) with Latin and French text juxtaposed in 2 col. Engr. ill.: large title vign. by Martin Bouché showing a portrait of Ovidius and 124 large engr. pl. by M. Bouché, Fr. Bouttats, P. Clouwet and P.P. Bouché after A. van Diepenbeeck and H. Abbé, and inspired by the ill. for this work by C. de Passe in the 17th c. Title in red & black.
