New enlarged edition of this pocket school atlas, followed by an introduction on astronomy. The whole textbook in a question and answer format was for use in schools in the Netherlands. Engr. ill.: striking frontispiece with Atlas as a child holding up the celestial sphere and surrounded by astronomers, 24 numb. hand-coloured maps after G. Delisle: planisphere, 4 continental maps and 17 maps of European countries illustrating the atlas, while diagrams of an astrolabe and cosmographic items are included in this treatise on astronomy. The Brussels publisher Benoît Le Francq included the introduction to the 5th ed. by the original Amsterdam publisher, B. Vlam whose bookseller's list is bound at the end of the volume.
