1. Mercator, G. - Alsatia landgraviatus, cum Suntgoia et Grisgoia. Engr., 39,5 x 80 cm, hand-coloured. Map by G. Blaeu and extracted from the Dutch 1642-1643 edition of the "Theatrum orbis terrarum". Ref. van der Krogt II [2520:2]. - 2. Cruikshank, G. - The "nec plus ultra" of "Life in London". Hand-coloured etching and aquatint. Satyrical print and illustration to Pierce Egan's Life in London. The title continues: - Kate, Sue, Tom, Jerry and Logic, viewing the Throne Room at Carlton Palace. - 3. News print by Franz Hogenberg figuring the French Wars of Religion, more specifically the punishment of Barnabé Brison, president of the Parliament, because of treachery in Paris (19 December 1591). - 4. Lenghi, G. - Salita al Vesuvio. Hand-coloured lithograph. Sightseers struggling up the steep slopes of Vesuvius, aided over the volcanic rubble by guides. One woman is carried in a chair. From Lenghi's "Raccolta di Costumi Napoletani". - 5. 11 engr. (3 coloured) of London after Thomas H. Shepherd by Barber, Barenger, Lacy, Tombleson, Wallis, and others. - 6. 22 (of which 7 coloured) engr., of Beauraing, Beloeil, Delft, Han, The Hague, and other places in the Netherlands by Jobard after C. Bos, Howen, E. Trumper, etc. - 7. "Le Grimacier. Le Troubadour Parisien. Les Jongleurs Indiens. l'Incomparable Bobèche". Handcol. engr. catchpenny print, possibly from "Le Bon Genre". - 8. Madeleine Barbedor. - Pl. from "D'aujourd'hui et de toujours" by Henry de Montherlant (Brussels, Toison d'Or, 1944). - 9. Musset, Paul de. - Voyage pittoresque en Italie (Paris, Morizot, 1860). 6 steel engr. by Rouargues Frères. - 10. 9 b/w engr. of St.-Peters Basilica and the Vatican in Rome, Doge's Palace in Venice, the Old Palace in Florence, Braubach am Rhein and Mainz, Malta and Gibraltar by C.
