Drawing, pencil and black chalk, heightened with white, 19 x 11,5 cm within passe-partout, laid paper, signed in the upper right background with initials "H.A.T"? (minor black spots near Venus' left arm, min. foxing).

Stuck under passe-partout, under gilt wooden frame (sl. damaged frame, not studied outside frame).

Venus bathing in a tub decorated with a lion's head, while being teased by a leaning cupid. Skilfully executed drawing. Possibly Netherlandish.
