Original edition of this compilation of biographies of saints of the Order of Hermits of Saint Augustine and mainly of Nicholas of Tolentino (1245-1305) by C. de Corte (1590-1638), a monk of the same order, historiographer of the Emperor Ferdinand II and hagiographer of the Order. Ill. with an engr. title and 4 engr. showing Nicolas de Tolentino, Fridericus, Esaias Polonus and the evangelist pilgrims of the Order by Cnobbaert after Ph. de Mallery and Th. van Merlen. Dedication by the author to Nicolaus Micault ("State A" cfr STCV).

(first Padua 1673) of this controversial work clarifying the differences between Augustinian Catholicism and Jansenism by the Italian church historian, theologian, Augustinian and Cardinal E. Noris (1631-1704). The work, at the time receiving a special declaration of orthodoxy from the Pope, had to be approved by a special commission at Rome where Noris came to the favourable attention of the later Cardinal Girolamo Casante.
