Mod. calf, covers with gilt ornamental border, gilt spine with red label, red edges. Good copy.
Very rare 1st larger collection of the poetry of “the French Horace” Jean Salmon Macrin (1490-1557), in his time considered to be the finest Neo-Latin poet of France. Earlier (in 1528) only a small part (16 ff.) of his poems had been published by S. de Colines. Woodcut mark on title. Printed in italics. Capital spaces with guide-letters. Ref.
