1 p. 1/2 in-12, on mourning paper, in French, s. "Le Prince N. Youssoupoff" (sm. folds on corners, min. marg. tears).

"Je suis bien au regret d'apprendre votre indisposition, je tenais à mon passage par Dresde à vous serrer la main et vous rappeler des temps meilleurs où nous nous sommes vus à Petersbourg. [...]". Prince Yusupov (1827-1891), a wealthy philanthropist, was a talented violonist, tutored by the Belgian violinist Henri Vieuxtemps. He composed pieces for the piano and violin and published several books on tmusic (e.g. "Histoire de la musique en Russie", Paris, 1862).
