W. 45,5 x D. 26 (opened: 52,5) x H. 18,5 cm; with brass bounds, corners and plate with engr. initials "M.D" and date "8-[18]81", label "Vve B. Quillet/ Bruxelles/ Foire de Leipzig", opening up to reveal a writing slope with original blind- and gold tooled Bourgogne shagreen, pen tray and four compartments - 1 with loose lid - to the base, 3 inside secret drawers, key pres. (writing table sl. used with 1 part loose, split in back pannel, mod. protective pads on two corners of the lid and on the base, sl. traces of use).
