Lot description
Black ink, grey wash, 20,3 x 30,0 cm, laid paper with unid. watermark (sm. marg. stains).
Hinged at upper edge, under passe-partout.
A royal procession of King David, entering Jerusalem with the Ark of the Covenant after the battle against the Philistines. Given the oval shape, the drawing was probably a design for a print or stained glass window.
Prov. Albert Van Loock (1917-2011), Brussels art dealer (stamp, L.3752).
