Accomplished portrait of Amatus Ignatius de Coriache (1657-1731), vicar general of the archdiocese of Mechelen-Brussels from 1711 to 1716. The Latin phrase "Audi partem alteram" (Listen to the other side) on the sheet in his hand demonstrates his legal background. At top left the Coriache coat of arms.
