Cont. marbl. calf, gilt spines on 4 raised bands, brown & green leather title labels, yellow fore & bottom edges, mod. marbled endpapers (some tears, corners bumped, joints rubbed & starting to split). Good set.
First edition of this important historical and religious work by the hagiographer Ghesquière (1731-1802). It is an important document as regards the history of Belgium and is accompanied by comments and critical, historical and geographical notes. Engr. ills (some signed by C.J. Bisschop, H. Cause, P.B.
