2 engr., 45,9/47,5 x 51,5/53 cm, hand-coloured (sl. toned, traces of folds, map of Antarctica restored on verso).
Rare polar projections. The map of the Nothern hemisphere includes the latest Russian discoveries in the North Pacific and depicts California as a peninsula. The map of the Southern hemisphere extends as far as the Equator depicting large parts of Africa, South America, Australia and East Indies. Both maps with an explanatory text in French and Dutch.
