Cont. calf, gilt-stamped spine on raised bands (rebacked, original covers with cont. repairs preserved, a few scratches).
First edition of this important topographical work on the marquisate of Antwerp by J. Le Roy (1633-1719). Engr. ills: title by A. van Diepenbeeck, 72 (of 73) plates outside collation (some folding and double-paged): 2 maps, 2 city plans, 13 ills of tombs, etc. and 67 views (of which 24 sm. printed 2 by 2 on 1 leaf) showing,i.a.
