Lot description
Black chalk, framing line in brown ink, 15,2 x 18,9 cm, laid paper, ms. note in pen "ostade" (few spots, sl. browned).
Hinged at upper edges. Under passe-partout.
Isaac van Ostade (1621-1649) specialized in barn and peasant scenes such as the painting in The Hague (Mauritshuis, inv. 789).
