Rare auction catalogue (5430 items classified by subjects) of the library of Louis-Léon Pajot, comte d'Ons-en-Bray (also written Onsenbray), general director of post houses and horse exchanges of France, honorary member of the Royal Academy of Sciences. He was famous for his cabinets of physics and mechanics, visited by most foreign princes who came to Paris. His father had purchased the library of Charles de Sainte-Maure, duc de Montausier, governor of the dauphin, son of Louis XIV. Louis-Léon inherited and expanded this library. Ref.
