Later edition (1st 1521) of Henry VIII’s attack on Luther’s “Von der babylonischen Gefangenschaft der Kirche” (1520). With the defense of Henry VIII by John Fisher (1459-1535), bishop of Rochester and Chancellor of Cambridge University. In 1535 Fisher was executed by order of Henry VIII for refusing to accept the king as Supreme Head of the Church of England. He was canonised, with Thomas More, on 19 May 1935 by Pope Pius XI.
