"Ma mère [Cosima Wagner] me charge de vous exprimer l'impression touchante que lui ont produit vos lignes et de vous dire que pour elle aussi le côté militant de la nature de mon grand-père [Franz Liszt] était un des plus saillants et des plus admirables [...]". Eva (1867-1942) was born when her mother was still married to Hans von Bülow.
Prov. Gustave Huberti (1843-1910), Belgian composer linked to the Flemish school despite his Walloon roots, was an early Wagnerian.
