Contemp. marbled calf, gilt-orn. flat spine, red spr. edges (sl. rubbed, sm. womtracks, 2 corners bumped).

Second Elzevirian edition from the Amsterdam officina (1st 1624) of the most important book of the German geographer and historian Philipp Clüver (1580-1622), founder of historical geography. Illustrated with an engr. allegorical title and 4 fold. plates (3 schematic figures and 1 table "Typus intervallorum variarum gentium").
