Photo of the Belgian Socialist politician Emile Vandervelde (1866-1938) during his visit to Congo in 1908. At his right, seated, we see doctor Neri, standing at his right with big white hat is general Frederik Valdemar Olsen (1877-1962), Danish soldier who became a general and commander in chief of the Belgian Congo "Force Publique".
