Mod. limp. vellum, gilt-titled flat spine.
Very rare first edition of the biography of John the Evangelist, based on extracts from the Bible and Latin authors. Written by Maria Madalena (d. 1637), from the Order of Saint Claire, nun to the Convento de Madre de Deus in Lisbon.
