Mezzotint, 62 x 74,8 cm, wove paper, signed "De Rudder - 1836" (margins folded and frayed, marg. damp stain, sl. spotted).
Rare anecdotical scene with Jacques-Louis David (1748-1825) in his Brussels studio, refusing to paint the portrait of the Duke of Wellington.
