Old limp vellum, flat spine (sl. used, front flyleaf gone, no endpapers).
Rare first edition by the Catholic French theologian J. Porthaise (1520-1602), against the Lutheran reformer Matthias Flacius (1520-1575). Woodcut printer's mark on title.
