Lot description
Lithograph, 60 x 80 cm, old hand-coloured (spotted, sm. tear).
Framed (not studied outside frame).
Rare allegorical plate to provide the Fellow ("Compagnon") with a souvenir of his (symbolic) journey, his "tour through France". The custom was also to purchase a drawing or lithograph when passing through Lyon or Bordeaux, hence the Lyon ed.
