Hand-coloured engraving, 46,8 x 37,1 cm, laid paper, signed and dated at bottom right: "N Picart Fecit 1675", French text at top and bottom.

Later impression with wide margins. Excellent condition.

The print informs us that the "Confrérie de Saint-Côme et de Saint-Damien" is the French professional organization for surgeons (dissolved in 1731) and that they worship at the St Cosmas and St Damain's Church in Paris (demolished in 1836). Another impression with nearly identical colouring is in Paris (Bibliothèque de la Ville, inv. 0-EST-00178).
