Etching, 35,9 x 47,2 cm, laid paper, signed at bottom left: "Antonius Tempesta inventor.", signature, address and numbered 8 at bottom right: "I.C.G.f. / CJVisscher Excudebat.", Latin text in lower margin (trimmed on platemark, part missing at top right, few spots, hole at bottom right).

Underlaid. Hinged at upper edges, under passe-partout.

N. 8 (of 8) from a series on "The story of Scipio Africanus". Originally published in Antwerp by Pieter de Jode I ca. 1620. 2nd state with the address of Claes Jansz. Visscher.
