Design for an auction scene.

Drawing, pencil, watercolour, 28,5 x 42,0 cm, laid paper with watermark (grapes), unsigned, squared and numbered for transfer (few holes, few sm. stains, sm. tear at left edge).

Interesting design for a print or painting with only the heads worked out in colour. The auctioneer and secretary are sitting at centre while objects are being presented to the collectors around them. In the background several sculptures and paintings are on display.
