Edition containing 12 plays by Pierre and 2 by Thomas Corneille. Ill. with a portrait of P. Corneille. Copy given as a prize at Ladies' College, Guernsey (founded in 1872), with the mention "Langue française : prix fondé en mémoire de Madame Thomas Guille, 1881" and large gilt coat of arms (Guille's arms of alliance). Eliza Guille was the wife of the philantropist Thomas Guille. She died accidentally in 1871.
