Lot description
Engraving, 21,2 x 26,6 cm, laid paper with watermark (jug), signed at bottom left: "Ioa(nnes). Breug. inventor.", address at bottom right: "A lon excu", Latin text in lower margin (sm. tear at top left, repaired tear at bottom centre, partially cut ms. note in pen outside platemark at bottom).
Hinged at upper edges, under passe-partout.
Copy in reverse after an engraving by Aegidius Sadeler (1555-1609) after Jan Brueghel (1568-1625), with the Good Samaritan added.
