Lot description

Engravings, ca. 13,2 x 19,0 cm, laid paper with watermarks (different coats of arms), title and Latin text in lower margin (trimmed to image, few light brown stains, 1 with sm. hole, 1 with sm. tear at bottom centre).

Allegories of Fire, Water, Air and Earth. Anonymous copies after Antonio Tempesta's (1555-1630) etchings (cf. Bartsch XVII.152.800-803), possibly by a Flemish engraver.
