Lot description
Engraving, 28,1 x 18,8 cm, laid paper with watermark (Strasbourg coat of arms), signed in lower margin at left: "A Bloemaert Inventor" and right: "Guilh. Pass. fecit [...] Crisp. Pass ex.", numbered 79 at bottom right, Latin text in lower margin (few spots, traces of former mount on verso).
Hinged to paper at upper edges, under passe-partout. Good impression with wide margins.
Engraved by Willem de Passe (ca. 1597-1637). 2nd state with numbering used in Gerard de Lairesse, "Les principes du dessein", 1719 and later editions.

Engraving, 30,4 x 20,8 cm, laid paper, signed in lower margin: "Nicolaus Poussinus delin. Cornelius Bloemaert sculp." (few spots, inscription in pen and brown ink on verso visible at top).
